Moving education forward: Danforth, Stillman double down on education

The Danforth family’s dedication to education has been well documented. Over its 84-year history, The Danforth Foundation (which closed in 2011) donated more than $1 billion to mainly education-related institutions and causes, including about $400 million to Washington University. The cousins are the niece and nephew of Dr. William Danforth, the former chancellor of Washington University credited with the school’s rise to national prominence.
