10/13/2017 Founders Day Celebration 8-9:30 am

Founder's Day, Special Guest and Dress Attire

Plan to join us the morning of October 13, 2017, for our annual Founders Day celebration from 8 to 9:30 am. Founders Day is similar to a homecoming or birthday celebration, in honor of our school and its mission. This year we are thrilled to host one of the greatest athletes of all time, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, as a guest speaker.

Founders Day is one of the most important celebrations during our school year. For that reason, we ask all students to come looking their best in their dress attire uniform. Middle school students should plan on wearing their white button down shirt and tie with either their gray kilt or a pair of professional looking black pants. High school students should wear their white button down shirt and black blazer with either their plaid skirt or a pair of professional looking khaki pants. No jeggings, athletic leggings, please. Students may wear any type of closed toe shoe with a back. Students who are not in dress uniform will not be able to participate.

We know the weather can be unpredictable this time of year; students may wear a Hawthorn fleece or Hawthorn cardigan during the Founders Day event itself. Hawthorn hoodies should be removed during the event but can be worn afterward.
