Who is eligible to enroll at Hawthorn?
Girls eligible to attend public school in the City of St. Louis are eligible for enrollment at Hawthorn. In addition, non-African American students residing certain St. Louis County school districts are also eligible to enroll under the Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation (VICC) program. Enrollment preference is given to children of Hawthorn employees and siblings of previously enrolled Hawthorn students.
How does my daughter enroll?
Interested students may request an application by filling out the request application form. Completed applications should be mailed to or hand-delivered to Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls, 1901 N. Kingshighway Blvd, St. Louis, Mo 63113. Scanned applications can be sent electronically to email@example.com.
What is the application calendar?
Hawthorn has three enrollment windows:
- November 1 through January 13
- January 30 through March 17
- April 3 through June 9
How will I find out if my child is accepted?
Families will be notified by letter, phone or email at the end of each enrollment session of whether their student has been accepted.
What do I do after my child is accepted?
Families have five business days to accept the school’s offer to enroll before forfeiting the space. Once the school receives such notice, a school administrator will contact the parent/guardian to schedule a family conference.
